Nikrothal® 60 strip is an austenitic nickel-chromium alloy (NiCr alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1150°C (2100°F). The alloy is characterized by high resistivity, excellent hot strength, good oxidation resistance and very good formability. It has good ductility after use and excellent weldability. Nikrothal® 60 has good corrosion resistance except in sulphur containing atmospheres and certain controlled atmospheres.
Typical applications for Nikrothal® 60 strip are as braking resistors and as electrical heating elements in industrial furnaces.
