Typical applications for INV 100 include use as resistance strip or as a low expansion component in bimetal thermostats, for example in gas and electric stoves. Its low thermal expansion also makes it useful as structural material where low temperature sensitivity is required, for example as frames for measuring systems, or for parts in mechanical watches.
