These advanced materials combine metal and ceramic properties, offering exceptional conductivity, corrosion resistance, and durability for high-temperature applications. Ideal for industries requiring reliable performance under extreme conditions.

Kanthal® Super 1700

Kanthal® Super 1700 is a remarkable material that combines the advantageous properties of both metallic and ceramic materials. It offers excellent heat and electrical conductivity, like metals, while also providing the corrosion and oxidation resistance typical of ceramics, along with low thermal expansion. This unique combination makes Kanthal® Super 1700 ideal for high-temperature applications.

Kanthal® Super 1700 is the baseline grade, showcasing the core benefits of the Kanthal® Super material. It is engineered for applications that demand:

  • Efficient heat and electrical conductivity.
  • Resistance to corrosion and oxidation with minimal thermal expansion.
  • Maximum operating temperature: 1,700°C (3,090°F).

Kanthal® Super 1800

Building on the capabilities of the Kanthal® Super 1700 grade, Kanthal® Super 1800 is tailored for higher temperature applications. It offers:

  • Low thermal expansion.
  • Maximum operating temperature: 1,800°C (3,270°F).

Kanthal® Super 1900

Kanthal® Super 1900 takes the core characteristics of Kanthal® Super 1700 and enhances them with:

  • Greater material purity.
  • Improved surface adhesion for specialized applications.
  • Maximum operating temperature: 1,850°C (3,360°F).
