Nifethal® 36 is an austenitic nickel-iron alloy (NiFe alloy) with very low thermal expansion factor up to 180°C (356°F). The alloy is characterized by good mechanical resistance, ductility and malleability combined with corrosion resistance. Nifethal® 36 is magnetic over its normal range of use.
Nifethal® 36 is a standard alloy for applications where a low thermal expansion is required, up to a maximum of 180°C (356°F), which should not be exceeded.
Typical applications for Nifethal® 36 are in thermostats bars, wires for precision measuring instruments and ignition cables for the automotive industry.
