Kanthal products are designed for extremely high temperatures, contributing to maximized heat flux and reduction of process time. Kanthal heating elements, for example, are designed for element temperatures up to 1850°C (3360°F).

Electrical heating provides the advantage of higher metal yeilds, reduced gas absorption and minimized oxide formation while remaining accurate at the highest temperatures.
