Laboratory furnace

The Kanthal program includes several products used in small laboratories and many times seen in dental sintering furnaces.

For smaller batch furnaces used in laboratories, the heat treatment typically involves sintering or enameling material.

Earlier dental furnaces used large diameter (Ø54mm) SiC muffles to surround the materials being fired, typically alloys for moulding into precious metal fillings.

More recently, compact laboratory dental furnace designs include basic chamber type with smaller diameter elements (Ø16 & Ø19mm) above and to the side of the charge.
